Houston Texas is home to one of American Dental Partner’s supported dental affiliates, Carus Dental. In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, several team members and their families have been effected. Team members from across the country immediately began to reach out and express their desire to help.
To date we have received over 800 hours of PTO donations and countless words of encouragement for our team members and communities impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
At this time, we are happy to share with you two additional ways you can support hurricane relief efforts. If you desire to make a financial contribution, please consider donating through one of our partners below and American Dental Partners will match your total contributions, up to $5,000.
American Dental Partner’s Foundation
Through the Community Outreach Program, the American Dental Partner’s Foundation can aid Carus in helping their community. With your help, we can provide funding to community health centers, hospitals, homeless shelters, and many other hurricane relief efforts that are being done. The Foundation will make these contributions on behalf of Carus to support them and all their efforts in Texas. To donate through the American Dental Partner’s Foundation, please visit:

American Red Cross
The American Red Cross is in Texas and Louisiana, providing food, shelter and comfort to people affected by Hurricane Harvey. Access to many areas is still challenging – the Red Cross is expanding efforts into more communities every day. The work is just beginning – financial donations dedicated to Harvey will be used to help people recover and get back on their feet in the challenging weeks and months ahead. To donate through the American Red Cross, please visit the dedicated ADPI donation page here:
Harvey Donations at Work
- Overnight, more than 16,000 people sought refuge in 90 Red Cross and partner shelters across Texas. The Red Cross is also assisting the Louisiana state government with emergency shelters which hosted more than 640 people last night.
- Donations pay for the more than 1,000,000 meals and snacks served in Texas, with the help of partners. An additional 33,000 served in Louisiana.
- Donations pay to support the mental health and health services professionals who support and care for evacuees – some 35,000 contacts have been made.
- Donations pay for relief items like diapers and comfort kits that contain deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste and other hygiene items for people forced from their homes – 196,000 have been distributed so far and this number will grow as people are able to return home.
Thank you for your consideration.
